Less than a month to go, and the 2024 presidential election was finally winding down. Both candidates were making their final push to drive home those in and outside of their bases. A cultural war had reached its boiling point, and a nation appeared more divided than ever.
This election was not as much about the candidates as it was about a spiritual clash, a moral head-butting, if you will. It was about whether a nation, having the spirit of the Anti-Christ hovering over it, would bow down to the most godless direction in its history. The spiral into the abyss appeared never-ending. The devil was in his comfort zone having the proverbial Mai tai, sunglasses, and lounge chair resting comfortably on the belly of America. You would only need an hour of television to be convinced that the progressive left propaganda had infected the majority of Americans – that very few conservative, traditional people were still left out there.
According to mainstream media, this election battle was tight – It could go either way.
Then, just sixteen days before the election, Satan accidentally exposes himself, revealing himself as the fraud most bible-believing Christians already thought he was. In my best Dennis Green impression, “He was – who I thought he was.” Sadly for her, Presidential candidate, Kamala Harris would be the conduit to which this exposure takes place.
While at her rally with thousands in attendance, Harris began to throw condemnation towards those who dare defend the lives of the innocents momentarily confined to the womb. Little did she know, King Jesus was in attendance.
Two college students shouted, “Christ is King!, Jesus is Lord!” The candidate had a few options at this moment: She could have said, ‘Absolutely, Christ is King.’ I mean, she does claim to be a Christian. Or, she could have simply ignored their chants and kept it moving. But Harris chose a third option. Smiling from ear to ear, she told the students they were at the wrong rally and to move on to the little rally down the street, referring to her opponent. Now, there is some controversy on whether she actually heard what they said but from my perspective, that’s neither here nor there. The reason is because her response went viral, social and national media alike. At any point, she could have recanted her statements, letting the public know she misunderstood the students’ comments. But instead, she chose to affirm her position by remaining silent on the subject matter all the way up to the election. No response is a response.
I believe Harris heard those students loud and clear and responded accordingly in front of the world. I do not believe she intended to say what she said but “out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks” (Luke 6:45). Simply put, she couldn’t help herself. There was no time to analyze or manufacture an answer. The interruption required an immediate response. God has a divine way of confusing evil in the most perfect moments.
Kamala Harris mocked Jesus, the very God Whom she claimed to have grown up worshiping. But in the end, she was the one left humiliated. Not because she lost the lost election. Somebody has to lose, for that is the nature of competition. It was how she lost – by an absolute landslide. She led one of the most anti-god, anti-American campaigns ever and somehow believed this country could not see past the smoke and mirrors. Granted, she had millions of supporters – a rockstar in her own right, but because of the magnitude of her support, her sense of self was inflated, rejecting the fact that despite America’s moral decay over the past twenty years, we are still a predominately Christian nation. The world found out there remains a resiliency nestled in the heart of this nation. In spite of the stains of our past and present sins, we hold true to those basic fundamental values of the Bible.
As with most candidates, not all of her projected policies were terrible. There were some I completely agree with such as those that pertained to helping the elderly. But the dark policies were so nonsensical, so tremendously out-of-line, they overshadowed those that would have given the American people hope in her leadership. But she flopped. And may someday she discover why.
My prayer is that Harris has had time to reflect and receive this defeat as a dose of humble pie because that is what it takes to truly appreciate the sovereignty, the holiness of the eternal God. We all have to go through it – sometimes multiple times. God values the soul more than he does feelings.
I also pray this experience would lead her to re-dedicate her life to Jesus, drawing such great revelation, it leads to a life of repentance.
In conclusion, King Jesus is everywhere – even at a large rally filled with like-minded people.
